"Working Together Works"

Mission Statement:  
The Wendell Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will work together with the members to continue to support businesses in a cooperative effort to enhance the economic climate and quality of life in Wendell and surrounding area.

Building and Grounds
This committee oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the premises of the Wendell Chamber of Commerce.  Committee members responsible for special projects will solicit chamber member involvement whenever needed.

Downtown Merchant Liaison
Work with merchants to pursue new business and promote existing businesses in Downtown Wendell.  Serve on the Economic Development Committee.

Economic Development
Work with existing businesses to improve commerce and revenue.  Develop new relationships and attract potential new businesses that will be an asset to the community.  Recruit Industry. 

Education/Technology
Work with local schools, East Wake Education Foundation and other groups to further the quality of Education for all groups of citizens to provide a more prepared local work force.

Governmental
Work with local, county and state government to represent Wendell in matters important to commerce and economic growth.  Town meetings, Candidate Forums, Local Chamber meetings including Knightdale, Zebulon and Raleigh.

Membership/Newsletter
Provide quality and professional information and service to current members.  Organize diverse events and projects that are beneficial to members.  Promote new member recruiting.

Social/Fundraising
Plan and organize Events:  

• Annual Golf Tournament
• Harvest Festival
• Annual Banquet
• Lighting of the Town Square

Legal Advisor
     Guide and advise the Chamber on all legal matters; permits, license, liabilities, etc.

Public Relations and News Media
Project positive, pro-active professional image of the Wendell Chamber of Commerce.  Get the news out to the businesses and Community.  Showcase what we are doing and put "Wendell on the map."
